IRCTC Guideline ( indian railways )

As the name suggest, PNR means Passenger Name Record. It is a travel record of a single person or group of person that is stored in Railway computerized reservation system. Now, whenever a person goes for rail ticketing for a train journey he receives this ten digit number that is written on the top left corner of his rail ticket. He can find the current status of reservation using this. By using reservation status tool he can discover the - confirmed, waiting or in RAC status. Below here you can find various attributes of tool search result :-

Train Number, Train Name, Date (Journey Date), From (Journey Start Station), To (Journey Destination Station), Reserved up to (Till what Status reservation is made), Boarding Point, Class (Sleeper Class, 2AC, 3AC etc), Boarding Status (Confirmed, Waiting or RAC). On Railway site one can also find about seat availability, fare and quota.
